Today we’re taking a look at the Boean PD 65w USB charging station. Boean contacted me to take a look at this charging station and I thought it was a nice little device and priced well. The Boean charger utilizes an AC outlet in order to provide up to 65 total watts worth of power output through the ports on the station combined. Included with the charging station you’re obviously getting the main power cable, the charge station itself, and a small set of instructions that list the maximum power output for each port. The charge station is capable of charging a Macbook pro with the center 65w USB-C connection, that’s a pretty neat feature. Other brands of USB-C chargeable laptops and tablets aren’t listed but, if you can charge your device with up to 65 watts of power over USB-C, there’s a decent chance it will work. As for the other 4 charge ports, there’s two 15 watt max USB A ports and two Quick Charge 3.0 20 watt max USB A ports. I charged up my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, two USB power banks, and my Google Pixel Buds relatively quickly with this charger. I’m happy to report I didn’t have any connection issues that require reseating the USB cables either. After charging all of the devices for about 20 minutes, the main charge station was only mildly warm to the touch which is awesome, its not crazy inefficient at charging these devices. I really liked that the bottom of the charge station also had that kind of rubber that helps prevent the device from moving on smooth surfaces. If you’re looking for a charge only USB-C charging station, this Boean PD charge station seems like a great device.
