Today we’re taking a look at the Humixx universal waterproof case. This is an interesting phone accessory that Humixx had reached out for me to take a look at. This case or pouch as they call it can fit up to 7 inch phones which is a pretty good size. This waterproof pouch is IPX8 rated with Humixx stating the pouch has been tested at up to 100ft or 30m underwater. This is a solid rating and maximum depth testing for this type of phone accessory. This pouch is really going to come in handy when you’re on vacation at the beach or possibly even at a waterpark depending on what you’re doing. The pouch itself has a small internal air filled pocket which also will help with floating in the water. The material is clear TPU so you can still operate most physical buttons with your smartphone and still take pictures or video. Depending on the conditions the quality of the photo and video will vary but this is a very cool feature while ensuring your phone stays nice and dry. I was able to fit both my Pixel 6a and my Samsung S22 Ultra with cases installed into the pouches. The pouches essentially work by operating these clips at the top of the pouch to clamp it shut, not allowing any water to enter. This kit offers two pouches and two lanyards for easy carrying. I had to test this out so I grabbed a pot of water and decided after the napkin test that I would dunk my Pixel 6a into the water. I was pleasantly surprised when I took it out that it was quite dry. The little bits of water that you might see were actually from my hands holding the outside of the case when I was undoing the clips. Short of going to the beach, the water is pretty cold where I am still, this was an interesting test and I’m quite glad it worked! This is a really handy smartphone accessory if you’re a beach bum or just going on a water oriented vacation. I’d even check this out if you are the type of person who visits water parks frequently too, might as well keep your smartphone as dry as you can. For the price, getting two of these in one order seems like a deal to me.
