Today we’re taking a look at the Juntone magnetic stand slim cases in both green and gold. Juntone had sent these over for review with my Samsung S23 Ultra. These cases are quite low profile, they have a stronger type of translucent backing, they feature a built in magnetic ring which can double as a phone stand, and a location for attaching magnetic smartphone and case accessories. The cases provide a decent amount of protection for those of us who don’t like the bigger bulkier style cases. The top and bottom bezels extend past the phone by a millimeter or two which means that when the phone falls on a flat surface like your kitchen floor, the case will impact the ground first absorbing and redistributing impact forces sagging your phone’s glass screen or backside. On the back side of the case and phone, the camera cutout region creates some space between your camera lenses and any potential flat surface impacts which is good to see. As for the case build and strength, the backing material is actually relatively strong, it seems like it will hold up well over time and the sides and top material is a little bit more malleable which will definitely help with impacts. As is my standard testing, I try to drop my S23 Ultra on my desk at various heights to see how the case bounces and what if anything gets damaged. The Juntone cases seem fine in drops as far as the screen side and cameras go, the magnetic stand stayed clasped shut so that’s good too. The cutouts for the mic, speakers, and the S-pen were all good too, no issues there, I was able to easily eject and reinsert the S-pen. There is USB-C flap cover but for a slimmer case that’s normal. Both wired and wireless charging worked well. The button feel was good, the clickiness felt right to me and I liked that the sides of the phone were smooth but not slippery. The screen wake button is also textured which is nice, that will help when you pick up your phone and you either can’t see it or if it’s 6am and you’re half asleep. I tested one of my magnetic rings on the back, it worked well. Overall, I liked these Juntone cases and would definitely recommend them if you’re into slimmer but still solid cases with a nice style.
