Today we’re taking a look at the FNTCase for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra thanks to FNTcase sending over this sample! The FNT Case is a larger, more protective style of case consisting of two interlocking components. You’re getting two front frame options, one frame with a built in screen protector, as well as an open frame option. I always like to see included screen protectors but if you don’t want a built in screen protector or you want to buy your own, you have that option. The FNT Case is also coming with a good set of cleaning supplies, your standard microfiber cloth and two dust sticker sets for your screen which I always like to see. This case also includes a belt clip, these are super useful for people who need to keep their phone on them but not in their pockets. The clip rotates and the holster holds the phone nice and tight. As for the main rear case body, it’s a stiffer plastic material with a good amount of thickness and rigidity. The case has reinforced thicker rubber corners for those terrifying corner drop impacts. No matter what front frame option you go with, you will have some added height to the top and bottom bezels on this case. This feature raises the main phone body up and off of a flat surface. This means that if you drop your S23 Ultra on your kitchen floor while you’re making dinner, the screen won’t actually touch the floor if your phone lands screen side down, which it almost always does. The extra bezel height on the case at the top and bottom will hit the floor first, saving the glass on your phone from shattering. This is an important feature in my opinion, good cases will always have this in the design. In testing the screen protector, I didn’t have issues with the fingerprint sensor so that’s awesome to see. As far as the cutouts for the mic and speakers, they were good, no sound issues there. The S-Pen opening was a little smaller than other cases but I didn’t have issues with ejecting or re-inserting the S-Pen. The volume up and down buttons as well as the screen button had a good amount of resistance, not too hard and not to soft. The rear camera cutout section of the case created a few millimeters of distance between the camera lenses and a flat surface. This should be enough of a buffer for the average person to keep the cameras safe. The case also has a kickstand which I like, I frequently use the kickstand at the office and at my house for watching videos when I’m walking around. As far as charging goes, no issues with plugging in the USB-C cable and no issues with my Qi charger so that is definitely a plus. This case does not include a USB-C protection flap, I do like those so it was missed here. I did do some drop testing on my desk, the case did well, no issues with case or phone damage. There’s a bit less of a rubber like material that makes contact when the phone is dropped, there’s less bounce here than other dual layer interlocking cases that I have looked at. I liked the FNTCase offering for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. It’s a good budget offering.
