Today we’re taking a look at the Pop-Tech magnetic phone case with a camera lens and screen protector courtesy of Pop-Tech. This case is on the lighter and slimmer side of the case offerings, lots of people like the slimmer feel and don’t need or want the bulk of the bigger more proactive cases. The Pop-Tech fits on the S23 Ultra nicely in my opinion and the feeling in your hand is good too. This is of course a magnetic case that supports various MagSafe accessories. I tested Qi charging with it as well, no issues so that’s good to see. This case comes with screen protection in the form of both raised bezels at the top and bottom of the phone to prevent the screen from impacting a flat surface first and a thinner plastic material screen protector. I think this is a good combination here, the bezels are just enough to keep the screen off the ground in a flat surface impact scenario and the screen protector is good enough to keep things like keys from scratching your screen. This Galaxy S23 Ultra case protection kit also comes with one of the popular stick on lens protectors for the camera lenses. These are nice since they are relatively thick, they’re going to hopefully absorb fall damage and protect the camera lenses. The cutout region does have a few millimeters worth of clearance though if you don’t want the lens protector. I didn’t notice and picture or video issues with it installed though so I would personally use it. As for the microphone and speaker cutouts, no issues with sound here. The USB-C charging cable was easily plugged in and the S-pen space was good also. Part of the magic of this case and the reason for its bounce when I did my small scale drop testing is the soft TPU material. I like the feeling when holding the phone and think TPU material can provide good case protection especially in what they call the bumper area and the corners. If you are in the market for a slimmer but solid built TPU case and you like the addition of the included screen protector and camera lens protector, I think the Pop-Tech S23 Ultra case should be at the top of your list. I liked it during testing and think it will serve anyone looking for a case in this category well. If you wanted to level up the overall phone protection, I would suggest looking into a tempered glass screen protector.
