All right, today we’re taking a look at the Humixx slim bumper hard cover case for the new iPhone 15 Pro Max. Humixx reached out to me asking to sponsor this video and when I took a look at the case construction, I thought this looks like it was going to be a solid pick for most people, so I was happy to work with them. This case is for the Pro Max 6.7 inch model but Humixx has tons of cases for tons of other phones too. Right off the bat, I really like the case body feeling for this one. The case body is a tougher, harder, more rigid type of TPU material which I like for durability, but I like the soft touch even more, it feels nice to hold which I think sometimes people forget about in case reviews. Anyways, the case backing has a really decent thickness and strength to it without being bulky, I’m a fan of that. The sides, top, and bottom are a little more malleable but still strong, that’s good. It looks like Humixx rates the total drop protection for this phone at 14ft and they apparently conducted the test 12,000 times, that’s kind of wild. Looking at the front side of the iPhone, the bezels are higher than the screen height all around the phone which is one of my favorite design choices. This is what will help protect the screen side of your phone in drop scenarios on flat surfaces like the floor in your kitchen or if you drop the phone off of a desk at work or something. The bezels extend 1.2mm past the screen all-round the perimeter of the phone providing good screen protection there. Arguably the next most important function of a case other than protecting the main phone body and the screen, protecting the cameras. Lots of other cases just have cutout regions for the cameras. That’s fine, the cutouts do work but it leaves you open to a little more risk without a camera door like what this case has. The door looks like it’s actually held in place with a magnet, that’s the first time I saw a camera door like that. I actually really like that, it’s a nicer feeling or action to open and close the camera door versus the cases that click into place in my opinion. The feeling of the camera door is nice and there’s a decent amount of resistance for closing and opening the door, which is what you want, you don’t want the door to slide open if your phone tumbles over for example because then it won’t help you. Humixx also has the door built in such a way there’s two door pieces if you will kind of layer on top of each other. This is definitely the right way to build in extra camera protection. This case does support wireless charging. Since the camera area on the iPhone sticks out a bit, the cases have to accommodate for that so if you are used to a large flat charger like I am versus the traditional Apple wireless chargers, you might need to reposition or lay the phone down flat. That being said, since I’m using the wrong charger type and I still got the phone to wirelessly charge, I would say this case is friendly towards wireless charging for your iPhone 15 pro max. I like the design, look, and feel for this case. It’s got some solid protection features which is important for a super high-end smartphone like this, and I don’t find the case annoying at all, it’s solid and doesn’t add much weight or bulk to the overall iPhone experience here. So, if you’re looking for a solid case for your pro max, something that doesn’t break the budget or make you feel like you have a brick in your pocket, I would definitely recommend taking a look at what Humixx has to offer here.
