Today we’re taking a look at the i-Blason Ares Mag case for the iPhone 15 plus. i-Blason had sent this case over for review and I’m glad they did. I think the look and feel for this case is interesting and I think it’s a pretty solid value. So, we’ll take a look at why I came to that conclusion. Starting off with the case protection factors, these are the most important in my own personal opinion, we have a dual layer interlocking case that essentially wraps around the entire phone. I’m a huge fan of interlocking cases, I think generally you are better off with a case that completely encloses your smartphone. This case does feature an included built in screen protector which I like. It’s a decent thickness so it looks like it should protect your screen well from the normal sorts of stuff that might scratch your screen. This case does have the classic bezel across the perimeter of the iPhone, which is good for drops on flat surfaces, even ones with tile or maybe even concrete depending on the height. The front frame of the case lists the iPhone body up off of a flat surface by 1-2mm here and the main case body that wraps around the front frame and encloses the phone provides some nice and soft material that compliments the front frame. This should help with absorbing those impact forces and hopefully pushing off or completely avoiding that fateful day when you need a genius. This case also features reinforced corners which I like, corner drops can result in heartbreak so in my opinion if you are buying a case because you want some solid protection, look for reinforced corners. The sides of the case feature a TPU bumper as i-Blason calls it, a layer of TPU that will help absorb impact forces. In looking at the back side of this case we can obviously see that it is also transparent which is kind of cool, if you actually liked the color of your iPhone and you enjoy seeing the apple logo, this is a nice benefit of the Ares Mag case. I like that the back side of the phone also implements a bezel along the perimeter of the phone and there’s extra material at the top and bottom which might help with impacts, but I thought it was nice for a little bit of extra hand grip too.
