Today we’re taking a look at the Ares Mag case for the iPhone 15 Pro. i-Blason had sent this over for review and I thought it was a solid choice, so I was glad to take a look at it. The Ares Mag case is a dual layer interlocking case which I am a huge fan of. I think generally you are better off with a case that completely encloses your smartphone. This case does feature an included built in screen protector which I like. It’s a decent thickness so it looks like it should protect your screen well from the normal sorts of stuff that might scratch your screen. This case does have the classic bezel across the perimeter of the iPhone, which is good for drops on flat surfaces, even ones with tile or maybe even concrete but also depending on the height. This part of the front frame of the case lifts the iPhone body up off of a flat surface by 1-2mm here and the main case body that wraps around the front frame and encloses the phone provides some nice and soft material in addition to the rigid frame that should help with absorbing those impact forces. This case also has these reinforced corners which will definitely help. Corner drops can result in heartbreak so in my opinion if you are buying a case because you want some solid protection, look for reinforced corners. The sides of the case feature a TPU bumper as i-Blason calls it, a layer of TPU that will help absorb impact forces. In looking at the back side of this case we can obviously see that it is also transparent so, if you actually liked the color of your iPhone and you enjoy seeing the apple logo, this is a nice benefit of the Ares Mag case. I like that the back side of the phone also implements a bezel along the perimeter of the phone and there’s extra material at the top and bottom which helps with grip a little bit. This case is also obviously MagSafe compatible which I also think is a nice feature. The magnet design compliments the case nicely in my opinion, it looks good. As for the camera area, we have the tried-and-true built-up camera cutout. This cutout also has raised bezels that put a few millimeters of distance between your camera lenses and any flat surface. This is important for protecting those camera lenses so always pay attention to the camera area on cases you want to buy. The case is generally made from TPU and polycarbonate materials which is pretty standard. The button feel is pretty good, the cutouts for mic and speaker are good too. This case supports wireless charging and has a flap cover for the port. These flap covers really help keep that port clean and free of debris over time. So, if you like the design and aesthetic of this case, I will absolutely recommend it for your iPhone 15 pro. I think it’s well built and offers a good competitive value for iPhone 15 plus users.
