Today we’re taking a look at the Tieszen case for the iPhone 15. Tieszen reached out asking to sponsor this video and after looking at the case design, I happily agreed. This is a dual layer interlocking case type, a classic and desired case type in my opinion that completely encloses your iPhone. I like these types of cases as they are typically more protective versus single piece or main case body cases that generally focus on the backside of the phone. This case is coming with 1 front frame option and that is with a 9H rated tempered glass screen protector built in. I’m a fan of built-in screen protectors, especially ones that are a decent thickness that don’t impede the touchscreen performance like this one. This screen protector should protect well against anything your phone would normally come into contact with throughout the day. The front frame itself provides a decently rigid structure that the main case body can interlock with. The frame of the main case body is made from a nicer smooth touch type of TPU material. Tieszen includes phone cleaning and prep materials along with some stickers, that’s a win in my book. Make sure you clean off your phone screen before applying any case or screen protectors. We have some decent thickness on the sides, top, and bottom of the case so it looks like it should protect the phone well. Tieszen does have an SGS certification for a 10-foot drop rating which is nice piece of mind. As for the back side of the case, we have a translucent panel which is great if you bought your favorite color iPhone, you could see it every day. This backside panel seems relatively thick as well and it provides decent dry handgrip. Wet handgrip wasn’t too bad, but it won’t be as good as something with the textured or raised backing. A tradeoff for enjoying your iPhone color but one I think a good chunk of people will be happy to make. This case also has a built-up camera cutout region. This is a classic camera protection strategy which I like. Similarly, to the front side, the camera lenses will be lifted up off of a flat surface in flat surface drop scenarios. The cutout material seems strong and on top of that, Tieszen includes 3 camera lens protectors which is a nice feature. These are basically meant to be a strong layer in between your lenses and a not flat surface when you might drop your iPhone. The phone side has adhesive on it so just make sure you clean your camera area before applying and you should be good to go. In keeping with the sleek but protective theme as you probably saw, the mic and speaker cutouts have a small mesh layer to help keep out dust, dirt, and other debris. You also have a flap cover for the data or charging port, I’m a big fan of this feature on cases. I’ve never had connection issues on any phone when I’ve had the flap covers.
