Today we’re taking a look at the SUPCase Ub Pro Mag case for the iPhone 15 Plus courtesy of SUPCASE! I’m a long time fan of the Unicorn Beetle Pro cases or UB Pro’s for short. These cases feature a high level of overall protection for smartphones. The UB Pro Mag case here is a dual layer interlocking case type that’s magsafe compatible. The front frame includes a built-in screen protector for added convenience and protection. It’s a decent thickness, and should stand up well to normal scratch objects. The front frame interlocks with the main case body relatively tightly which is good for protection and to help keep any liquids from immediately seeping in on the screen if you’re caught in the rain or something like that. The front frame is decently rigid which complements the main case body well. The TPU sides top and bottom of the main case body are malleable but they’re still quite strong. This combination of the rigid frame and a molded TPU material makes for some great protection, especially when there’s a little extra material on the corners. When looking at the front side of the phone installed in the case, you can tell that the perimeter of the front side of the case forms this bezel that extends up past the screen surface by about 2 millimeters. This is an important screen protection feature to look for in cases – this lifts the phone up off of a flat surface by those 2 millimeters which means the screen cant touch any flat surfaces when installed in the case. This is ideal because a lot of phone drops happen on floors at home, the office, and even outside on flat surfaces like concrete or streets. You want the case to take the brunt of the impact forces absorbing and redistributing that across the case to reduce the chances of damaging your screen. I’ve had the UB Pro cases on quite a few phones and they have survived some gnarly drops and tumbles so I quite like this design. By the way, if you’re getting value out of this one, definitely toss the video a like, it helps the channel a ton. Looking at the sides of the phone, there’s a grip pattern which is nice, especially on a larger phone like the iphone 15 plus here. The back side of the phone is nice and smooth with a nice aesthetic design in my opinion. This case is magsafe compatible, the magnets are actually built into the kickstand that this case uses. You can just pop that out and the magnets effectively become your kick stand. I like the dual functionality here, Magesafe accessories are quite useful, stuff like car mounts are a good usages for this. The kickstand is nice too, I know I like to set my phones up with a video playing on my desk or the counter at home while I’m moving around. As for the camera protection, we have the tried and true built up camera cutout region. The case thickness actually creates a space between the camera lenses and a flat surface, again about 1-2 millimeters here which is nice. This should help ensure the camera lenses don’t make contact with anything if you drop your phone. As for the mic and speaker cutouts, no issues with sound so that’s good. The data and charging port is protected by the flap that’s built into the case which is nice. This will help the port stay clean and free of dust and debris over time. Overall, I would say if you have an iPhone 15 plus and you need a solid case with some nice features, the SupCase UB Pro Mag case that I have here is a top contender. It’s a competitive option on the market for the level of protection and function that it offers.
