Today we’re taking a look at a beefy case for the iPhone 15 Pro Max from CaseBorne. CaseBorne reached out about working on a review and this model caught my eye for the Pro Max. This case utilizes an interlocking from frame and main rear case body strategy to protect your iPhone. The case offers the option for direct screen protection with not 1 but 2 included tempered glass screen protectors. The front frame is open which means it’s up to you, you can roll without the tempered glass or if you want that extra layer of protection for peace of mind, it’s included. The front frame is relatively rigid which is good, it will help provide some structure to the case. The main case body interlocks with it, the TPU bumper material wraps around it completely forming a strong connection. I like these kinds of cases since the outer TPU bumper really compliments the front frame, when you drop this case for example, the sides, top, bottom, and front side bezel will absorb and redistribute impact forces from a drop which should help protect your iPhone body from cracking. As I mentioned, the CaseBorne case will form a bezel on the front side of the phone which is an important screen protection feature. These bezels lift the entire iPhone body up off of a flat surface which means that if you drop your Pro Max on the kitchen floor, the concrete floor in your basement, or at the office, the screen without the tempered glass protector installed will never make direct contact in these drop scenarios. I’m a fan of this feature, I like that we have some lift and protection no matter what. For those of us who really need that extra layer of screen protection though, CaseBorn is including 2 tempered glass screen protectors. They’re also throwing in some cleaning materials which is awesome, not every company will do that so definitely take advantage of the wet and dry wipes as well as the dust stickers. This screen protector is quite thick, it’s got some flex, but it looks very strong to me so I’m definitely opting to install it. Make sure to prep the screen before installation, that’s super important to a good screen protector application. We have nearly full or complete coverage here which is awesome to see. I think the screen protector really levels up the overall protection factor of the case. As for the main case body material, CaseBorne amazing says it’s made from all recycled bits, that’s very cool, not something that I recall any other cases stating. The case body has a little flex in it but is mostly rigid, which is a good thing by the way, it looks like we have some good corner protection here as well. Just looking at the case profile, we’ve got a solid amount of material basically everywhere, this case really has protection at the forefront of the design. Moving over to the camera protection, as you probably saw we have the tried-and-true built-up camera cut out region but with an added open frame on a hinge bolstering the cutout region up even more than it already is.
