Today we’re taking a look at the CaseBorne V for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. CaseBorne reached out about sending this case over for review and after taking a look at the design, I was quite interested. The model that I have here is the extremely Rugged version for the S24 Ultra. This case features the classic interlocking front frame and main rear case body design. The front frame is rigid and so is the rear of the case, we have some extremely strong material here. The connection between the front frame and the main case body is so tight it actually took me a few tries to get the frame out, I think is highly unlikely this case will ever split apart on you in any normal drop scenario, that is very good. The front frame also features bezels at the top and the bottom of the phone which extend out towards the outermost of the case. This is an important feature for screen protection, if you were to drop your phone on say the kitchen floor or even a concrete floor like in your basement, the case will actually make the impact with the ground surface and not the screen no matter what angle the phone impact was at. The bezels lift the screen up off of a flat surface by about 2 millimeters which is good. In examining the main rear case body, we can see that CaseBorne installed a softer foam layer where the backside of the phone meets the case. This is awesome because it will definitely provide a cushioning effect on those hard drops. As for the main shell of the case, we have a triple layer TPU design so read that as it is thiccc. This case looks and feels like it’s ready for a fight. At 2.75oz it’s substantial. The backing, the sides, the top, and the bottom are thick, rigid, and form fitting. Between the weight of the case and the feeling in your hands, this really seems like a solid ultra protective type of case, I’m into it. The corners also have extra material, which is good, some solid corner drop protection here.
