Today we’re taking a look at the Thinborne Aramid Fiber case for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Thinborne had reached out about this case explaining it was truly one of the thinnest options out there, so I was very interested to take a look. The Aramid case comes with a bundle of items including the case, two tempered glass screen protectors, 2 cleaning kits with wet and dry cloths as well as dust stickers, and the instruction guide. The case body itself is very light weight and lives up to the name since its just 0 point 75 inches and only 0.04 inches thick. That’s wild, I have never seen a case this thin that has the kind of rigidity that this case has. There’s more structure and rigidness to this case than some of the thicker cases that I have worked with in the past. The case fits tightly on the iPhone as well which I definitely like, it basically snaps into place the fit is so accurate. We’ve got some side and corner protection for scratches, but this case does not have a TPU bumper like some others, this case is meant for a near caseless experience generally speaking. On the backside, we have the camera cutout region, there’s a little bit of protection here since there’s a very slight lip but they did a good job keeping the profile very slim because that is who this case is targeted at, people who don’t want the bulk. Subjectively speaking, I like the fiber design, I think it looks good and probably will with most of the iPhone colors. As for the strength of the material, Thinborne explained this is a 600D rated Aramid Fiber, this is something I was not familiar with as most of the cases I have used are entirely TPU. The 600D Aramid fiber describes the tight pattern of weaving from what I read which results in this very strong finish product. Very interesting stuff there. As for the screen protection, we’re getting two included screen protectors. They are relatively thick which is nice, I think these will definitely hold up well over time against scratches. There’s no adhesive too which I think is a plus. When you apply screen protectors like this, always make sure to use cleaning or prep material to get the screen ready. Thinborne includes this little kit with wet and dry wipes and the dust stickers so definitely use those, it will make the final application look very clean. The only thing I wish was different about this case and screen protector was that Thinborne included some kind of alignment tool for the screen protector. I was able to get mine centered after 3 tries which isn’t a big deal but it would be nice if the screen protector was either a little large to cover more or if there was an alignment tool. Once I got it on though, it looked and felt good. No issues with using the touch screen and like I said, it’s a thicc boy so I think your screen will be well covered here. The case supports QI charging of course and it features magSafe compatibility which is a nice feature. I love that for car mounts especially. Overall, I would say the Thinbrone case and bundle is a high quality and a premium type of offering. If you don’t want or need the bulk that comes with the protection factor from TPU cases, this is definitely the case to get in my opinion for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Until next time, stay charged up.
