Today we’re taking a look at the Poetic Spartan case in Gun Metal Gray for the Samsung Z fold 6 case. Thanks to Poetic for sending this case over for the review. The Spartan cases from Poetic are known for being very solid and protective cases, the version for the Z Fold 6 is no exception. There are two main pieces to the Spartan case here, we have the front frame which includes a built-in screen protector and the main rear case body. The screen protector is a decent thickness, looks like it should hold up well over time for the type of stuff that might come into contact with your screen. As always with all screen protectors, make sure to increase the fingerprint sensitivity for maximum unlock accuracy. The front frame creates a decent sized bezel for the screen which is crucial to protecting the glass. When you drop your phone onto the floor for example, you want that bezel to take the brunt of the impact, not your phone’s glass. The frame itself snaps right into place on the front side of the phone. Keep an eye out for those little blue tabs on the Poetic cases, there’s small adhesive strips under those to help secure the case. As for the back side of this case, we have a very strong rear case body panel for this side of the phone, very little flex with reinforced corners and a good bit of extra material too. I like that the TPU sides do have these grippy sections, this should help a lot with dry and wet grip from past experience. I like that the Spartan cases have the backside surface broken up with these bits of texture which will also help with grip. There’s a good-sized kickstand built into this case too which is nice for watching videos or making video calls. Sometimes I use these to get a better grip on the phone too. This case also has external support for storing the S-pen on the outside of the case in this holder. The S -Pen outer bay is built into the hinge sliding protection mechanism. This section of course is also acting as a strong barrier for protecting the Z Fold 6’s hinge. The case also provides a decent amount of protection for the cameras here, they’re recessed quite a bit here, looks like 2 to 3mm and the camera cut out region is already much smaller on the Z Fold than the S24 Ultra for example. From handling this case for a bit, it seems like it should provide some solid protection for your Z Fold 6. The Spartan cases are always on the overbuilt side for maximum protection so if that’s what you want, this is it. I would definitely recommend this if that protection factor is what you want for your Z Fold. Until next time, stay charged up.
