Today we’re taking a look at the i-Blason Armorbox for the iPhone 16 Plus. Thanks to i-Blason for sending this case over for the video. The Armorbox cases from i-Blason are known for being very protective types of cases. This is a beefy meaty case here, we have a built-in screen protector for the front interlocking frame, we got some oversized corner protection, huge bumpers on the sides, top, and bottom of the case, and we have a camera door lens to top it off. I’m a fan of the interlocking style of cases, I think you get quite a lot of value for money with these as well as some solid protection. The front frame provides a little bit of a bezel which will shield the phone from making that initial impact with a flat surface, think your basement floor or the sidewalk, and we have that built-in screen protector. Between the bezel which will help with absorbing and redistributing impact forces and the screen protector, your iPhone 16 Plus should hold up well even with heavy usage. The corner bumpers on this case have a bunch of material and they feature air cushioning to help soften the blow when you inevitably drop your phone, and the corner comes crashing down toward the ground. As for the side, top, and bottom TPU material, it was relatively strong, didn’t flex much when I was pushing or pulling on it, which is good to see. The fitment on my test iPhone was very good as well. Just with handling this case, you get that feeling that this case is really built like a tank. In looking at the back side of the case, we have a nice-looking design in my opinion. The backing material is quite thick, and we have a camera lens cutout with a bezel and locking camera door. The camera door opens up to reveal the cameras when you want to take pictures and close up when you want the cameras and lenses protected. The door can actually double as a kickstand too which is kind of nice – I like watching Netflix in the kitchen. This case does support MagSafe accessories which is good to see, super handy for mounting your phone in a car or for using those magnetic rings for increased grip. Since this is a bigger case, grip is an important factor here, so I like that i-Blason included ridges on the sides of the phone to help you hold on to the phone better. Of course, on the 16 series phones we have the camera control button mechanism, this case looks to have it implemented well and it’s still protected. The charge port is protected with a flap cover which is awesome, this will help keep the port cleaner and working longer over the life of the phone. Overall, this is a really solid case for protecting your iPhone 16 plus. It’s not exactly a slim or lightweight case but if you need maximum protection, this case is probably one of the top options for the iPhone 16 plus. Until next time, stay charged up.
