Today we’re taking a look at the i-Blason Armoxbox case for the iPhone 16. Thanks to i-Blason for sending over this case for the video. If the Armobox series of cases are new to you, these are some beefy, well protected cases for smartphones. This case has a strong and rigid build with oversized corner protection and a beefy TPU bumper all along the sides, top, and bottom of the case. This case is kind of built like a tank for those of you who really want to protect your phone, i-Blason has actually drop tested this case up to 20ft which is a lot of feet to drop a phone. This case does support the Camera control button, which is new for the iPhone 16 series, there’s 46 copper conductors to allow seamless functionality of the button and gesturing while protecting the phone body which is great to see. As you can see, this case is a dual interlocking layer type of case, we have a front frame with a built-in screen protector that perfectly mates with the main rear case body. I find these types of cases to be some of the best value cases and some of the strongest cases. The screen protector is a decent thickness, I think it should hold up well over the life of the phone and case and the front frame of this case gives us a healthy sized bezel to further protect the screen. Bezels on the front side of the case protect Smartphones when they get dropped on hard material flat surfaces like tile floors in kitchens, concrete basement floors, even sidewalks or the blacktop in the street. You definitely do not want the glass screen of your new iPhone to make contact with any of those surfaces in a drop scenario. With the bezel that is built into this case, the case will always make that initial impact, and it will absorb and redistribute those impact forces which should hopefully keep your glass safe and intact. As I mentioned before, the sides, top, and bottom of this case are really strong. The TPU material is decently thick and holds its form relatively well when I put pressure on it. The main rear case body is also very strong, definitely will be able to take quite a few drops on behalf of your iPhone. Since this is a bigger case which will increase the profile of your iPhone 16 a little bit, I really like that i-Blason has these grippy sections along the sides of the phone, that will increase dry and wet grip which is something I think people might overlook when buying cases. As for the camera protection here, we have a camera cutout region but there’s a deep bezel here to accommodate the camera door. The camera door is a decent thickness and does actually require some force to click open and lock shut as well as move so, I think this is some real solid camera protection. The door is also sturdy enough to function as a kickstand which is kind of cool. I love propping my phones on their sides and watching videos in the kitchen. This case does support MagSafe accessories, I’m a fan of those magnetic rings and I always mount my phones in my car with these mounts now, very handy. This case should allow for wireless charging on most wireless chargers, but you might have to position it once or twice to get the charging started. This case also protects the charge port with a flap cover. This for sure helps to protect that port over the life of the phone so I like to see this included on cases. Overall, I would say the Armorbox case for the iPhone 16 is going to provide some solid protection here. Until next time, stay charged up!
