Today we’re taking a look at the Poetic Guardian case for the Samsung Galaxy S25. Thanks to poetic for sending over this case for us to take a look at. The guardian case series are known for being dual layer interlocking case types with clear or transparent backing material. Protection is important but all too often we hide away that special edition color or our favorite Smartphone color with cases. The Guardian is here to offer that protection factor while letting you enjoy the Samsung colors and logo. Let’s dive into the protection strategy. The case kit includes two front frame options, an open frame with no screen protector for you to enjoy the factory glass experience or supply your own screen protector, or you can choose the front frame with a built in screen protector. No matter which front frame option you choose, you are getting some screen protection in the form of the bezel that the case creates on the screen side of the S25. This bezel extends up past the height of the screen by about 1-2mm which is very important in flat surface drop scenarios. When you drop your phone on tile flooring or on the sidewalk or street, you don’t want your glass to meet that hard surface. The bezel ensures that the case will always make that initial impact with the ground. The frame combined with the support of the softer TPU wrapped around it will absorb and redistribute those impact forces to help prevent any damage. The front frame with a screen protector that’s built in of course offers a scratch proof barrier to any stuff that might come into contact with your phone screen. It’s a decent thickness and these types of frame screen protectors usually last the life of the phone. Since Poetic included the screen protector preparation supplies, I definitely suggest using them for the best application. As for the sides, top, and bottom of the case, the TPU bumper all along the perimeter is decently thick and will do well to help shield the phone when dropped. The corners have a little bit of extra material which is good for when your phone inevitably goes flying. Looking at the backside of the case, the backing material is transparent and it’s quite thick. This material will be able to put up with daily use and some drop action well in my opinion. The Guardian case does support MagSafe accessories, I tend to use those magnetic loops and the car mounts for navigation. The camera and lens protection strategy here is the tried and true camera cutout region with a built up bezel. The lenses are about 1-2mm deeper than that bezel surface which means they wont come into contact during a flat surface drop. Since this case isn’t overly thick, wireless charging should work on most if not all wireless QI chargers. The USB-C port is well protected here as it has a flap cover. This will help keep out moisture, dust, and other debris that might corrode or mess up the port over time. As for grip on this case, the sides of the case do have grippy sections and the backing is smooth. Dry grip will be a little bit better than wet grip. I think this case has you well covered in terms of protection and screen frame options, and it looks like it’s competitively priced in the S25 case market. If you want a mostly clear case with MagSafe support for your S25, I would definitely recommend the Poetic Guardian. You can pick it up in black, grey, blue, green, and purple. Until next time, stay charged up!
