Today we’re taking a look at the Supcase UB MagXT case for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Thanks to Supcase for sending this one over for us to take a look at. The Supcase UB MagXT cases fall under the UB family since they offer quite a bit of reinforced case protection but they are not dual layer designs like the Pro cases. The MagXT’s consist of a main case body that snaps into place for the S25 Ultra. We’re getting all of the other important bits as far as case protection goes, a raised bezel on the screen side of the case, bolstered corners, strong but bouncy TPU bumper protection, and crucially, a locking camera door for ultimate camera safety. Diving into the screen protection a little bit, this case offers the UB protection elements but allows you to either use the factory Samsung glass or supply your own screen protector if you wish. No matter which strategy you decide on though, the case forms a bezel on the screen side which extends up past the height of the glass on the S25 Ultra. This means that when your S25 falls onto a hard flat surface like tile flooring, concrete, or asphalt, the case will make that initial impact with the ground absorbing and redistributing some of those impact forces to help keep the screen safe. When looking at the TPU bumper, the softer bit that encloses the case on the computer perimeter, it’s got a good amount of material here to soak up impact forces and it holds its form well while remaining a little bouncy which is what you want in a case. The corners are also reinforced with stronger material as well for when your phone goes flying out of your hands. In terms of preventing the phone from going flying, we have some grippy sections on either side of the case which is good for quality of life and if extra grip prevents a few drops here and there, you’re better off. In looking at the backside of this case, it’s relatively flat but does feature a MagSafe magnet. These are handy for magnetic ring addons and mounting your phone in your car for navigation. Next up, the camera protection strategy. The cameras are probably 50% or more of the reason for buying a flagship smartphone, you want to make sure your case is doing its job to protect them. This case has a camera cutout region with a built up bezel but the case includes a locking camera door which is awesome. This door is a little heavier and quite resistive to movement and it locks shut and the inside of the door has a soft felt like material so solid all around. As for charging, I didn’t have trouble with my wireless QI charger which is nice, the USB-C cutout is a decent size and my bigger USB-C cable fits well. The S-pen bay is a decent size, no issues pulling out the S-pen or reinserting it. Overall, this is a solidly protective case for your S25 Ultra. I think it will compete well in the case market for the S25 Ultra and it gives you some freedom to mix and match other brand screen protectors if you want to level up your protection with tempered glass for example. I’ll leave an affiliate link below if you want to purchase one one of these cases. Until next time, stay charged up!
