Today we’re taking a look at the ESR Hybrid case for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. I haven’t tested out any ESR cases yet so I figured I would purchase this one for the S25 Ultra launch and see if I liked it or not. The ESR Hybrid case is one of the more budget friendly options for the s25 Ultra. This case has a transparent backing material which is great if you want to see your factor S25 Ultra color which is kind of neat. My case’s main color is black but there’s a good selection. In looking at the protection features for this case, the case has a stronger TPU bumper all around the perimeter of the phone, it’s quite soft though which is nice. This is a good thickness and should stand up well to average height drops. The corners for this case are relatively strong as well, they did not flex much when I was pressing on them. This case features raised points or bezels at the top and bottom of the case on the screen side. This is a nice feature to have because if you phone lands on a flat hard surface, something like a tile floor or concrete sidewalk, those raise bezel areas make it so the glass won’t actually make that impact and the case can try to absorb and redistribute some of those impact forces which should help minimize damage. This case is relatively smooth though, there are no grippy traction areas. The camera protection strategy here is a standard camera cutout region with a raised bezel. This functions similarly to the front side of the case, if your phone lands camera side down, the camera lenses won’t make contact with any flat surfaces which should help keep those cameras functioning well. As for the USB-C port, there is no protection flap here but the cutout size was good, no issue with my USB-C cable. The S-pen bay size was also good, no problems removing or re-inserting the S-pen which is what I like to see. This case does offer us MagSafe accessory support which is a nice add on feature. The magnet was average strength and these are always super useful. Overall, this is a good value case if you’re on a budget in my opinion. Pairing this with a tempered glass screen protector will really level up the overall protection as well. This case is usually somewhere between 15 to 20 bucks so I think at that price, it’s a great value case.
