Today we’re taking a look at the Torras camera lens protectors for the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro max phones. Thanks to Torras for sending this over for us to take a look at as well as sponsoring this. I have looked at tons of cases now that utilize the industry standard camera cutout region with a built up bezel for dealing with camera protection from a case point of view. Generally this is enough for the average person but if you feel like you need better camera lens protection then that, you don’t have a lot of case options and maybe you really like an open camera type case. The Torras camera protectors here can help solve that problem. This is a nifty little kit that includes the 3 main camera lens protectors as well as cleaning and prep materials. Any time you place a screen protector or camera lens covers, you always need to make sure to prep that surface for the best applications, especially here, you don’t want to trap any dust. Just clean off those camera lenses with the wet wipe, dry them off with the included cloth, then make sure to pick up any leftover dust particles with the included dust stickers. I like to get the lens surface and then just around the lenses too. With the preparation done, installing the lens protectors is actually quite easy since they are all held in this plastic container with light adhesive. I peeled off the white sticker on the back, lined up the lens covers and just pressed down for a few seconds, installation complete. You might want to just quickly wipe the outer side of the lens covers too just in case you touch them and leave fingerprints. These lenses aren’t too thick but they’re quite strong and should serve you well if the cameras come into contact with something. Torras says these are 9H rated tempered glass so they should remain clear for photos and be very strong. The lenses use a type of 3M adhesive for sticking on to the iPhone’s camera lenses, Torras says these should be able to stick on to the phone for years. When you want to remove these though, the included holder does have a prybar like corner to it, you just put some force under it and you can pop off the lens covers. This seems like a handy solution to getting camera lens protection in my opinion. I like the size of these protectors, the application method, and that they are tempered glass and not plastic. If you know dropping your phone is likely but you already picked out a nice case that just doesn’t go the full 10 years for protection, I definitely think you should consider picking up a kit of the Torras screen protectors.
