Today we’re taking a look at the i-blason Cosmo case in butterfly blue courtesy of i-Blason. This an interlocking dual layer case type. We have a front frame with a built in screen protector which interlocks with the main rear casebody to form a strong connection. This is a good design in my opinion, you basically completely enclose your S24 ultra and you’re getting the screen protector. The screen protector is a decent thickness, should hold up well against every day type items that make contact with your S24. There’s a fingerprint zone too which is designed to help increase unlock accuracy, it worked perfectly for me. This case also forms a raised bezel which creates a 1-2 millimeter difference in height between the screen and the case. This is also an important screen protection feature because it means that when you drop your S24 Ultra on the kitchen floor or the basement floor, the case will make contact with the floor first and not the glass surface of your phone. The front frame supported by the main rear casebody will help to protect the phone by absorbing and redistributing some of those impact forces which should help against cracking. This case is made from TPU so it has that TPU dry grippyness feeling in your hands which is nice. In looking at the sides, top, and bottom of the case, we have a decent amount of the TPU material to help with impacts in those locations. The corners are about the same but they are a little more rigid than the sides because of the angle, which I think will be helpful. On the back side of this case, we can see that the case is magsafe compatible and that we have a camera door on top of the camera cutout region for camera and camera lens protection. The magnet was decently strong when I shook it with my magnetic ring attachment but the placement of the camera door being so big and so close might limit your options for mounting, just be sure to look at your magsafe accessories to get an idea before buying.
