Today we’re taking a look at the Poetic Neon case with Magsafe support for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Thanks to Poetic for sending this over for us to take a look at. The Neon case series is know for being a dual layer slimmer type of case for the support smartphones. This case features a very soft TPU material inner sleeve for the Galaxy S25 ultra. This inner layer is complimented well by the harder outer shell to form a solid case offering. The inner layer is nice because the TPU will basically cradle the S25 Ultra, it will help with absorbing impact forces from drops without scratching the phone. The outer shell really kind of armors up the case a little bit giving some structure and rigidity to the assembled case. This case does not come with a screen protector but the case does have a decent size screen side bezel. This is important for those flat surface drops on hard surfaces inside and outside. The TPU material takes the brunt of the force as opposed to a corner or side of the phone. On the back side of the case, we can see theres some textured areas for increased grip on the part of the TPU that comes through on the backside. The harder TPU shell has a little bit of texture too. This strategy for adding grip is very different from other cases but I think will be effective. This case does feature magsafe support which is good. The magnet also doubles as a kickstand which is handy for watching videos. I tested my Anker magnet ring on this and the strength was quite good. As for the camera protection strategy, we have the standard camera cutout region with a built up bezel. This works very similar to the front side bezel, the lenses for the cameras end up being set back about 1 to 2mm when the case lands camera side down. AS for charging, I had some trouble getting my S25 Ultra to wirelessly charge in this case. I had to attempt to reseat the phone a few times in the vertical orientation in order to start a charging session. The horizontal charging however seemed to start more easily. The USB-C cutout was a decent size, my larger USB-C cable easily fit. The S-pen bay was a good size, no issues removing or re-inserting. I like the Neon cases from Poetic, we get a nice mix of soft TPU and that harder shell along with the enhanced grip areas and a sleek design. You can always opt to level up the protection later on with a screen protector as well. These cases are very budget friendly, I think they will be quite competitive in terms of cases with a decent amount of material but are still small enough to not increase the overall profile much.
