Today we’re taking a look at the Poetic Revolution case for the iPhone 16. Thanks to Poetic for sending this one over for us to take a look at. The Revolution case series from Poetic is known for providing some solid smartphone protection. The Revolution series for the iPhone 16 features two front frame options. One frame is open if you don’t want a screen protector, the other frame option utilizes a frame with a built-in screen protector. The screen protector is a decent thickness, and this type should hold up well for years. This case also features a raised bezel on the screen side of the case with both frame options which helps protect your screen during flat surface drop scenarios. That bezel ensures that only the case makes direct impact with the ground in flat surface drop scenarios like the floor or sidewalk because it’s about 2mm taller than the glass all around the perimeter of the phone. The case also provides some solid corner protection. The corners are a little oversized and reinforced, there was little to no flex when I tried pushing on the corners from the outside of the case. In general, I’m a huge fan of the dual layer interlocking cases. This case in particular forms a really strong connection, it was actually almost difficult to remove the frames from the main rear case body; they interlock that tightly. No matter what angle you drop your phone, this case is not coming apart which is good. If you like the built-in screen protector part of this case, you have an easy to install guaranteed fit screen protector built right into the case bundle. Good stuff, definitely bringing the value here. As for the back side of this case, we have a sliding and locking camera door for protecting those cameras and camera lenses. The door will click or lock into place open or shut which is nice. The door itself is a good thickness, and the case naturally raises the outer surface level just past the camera lenses anyways so, we have some solid protection here. This case also has a kickstand built in which is a nice feature. I use this on all of my phones when I’m trying to watch videos at work or in the kitchen when I’m making food. Towards the bottom of the case, we have a USB-C flap cover which is good, this will help keep that port clean and operating normally for a long time, dead data or charging ports are no fun. As you probably know already, all of the iPhone 16 series smartphones come with the new camera control or action button. Poetic seems to have completely indented the case in order to get your finger or thumb to that level. The casing around the camera button though appears to be reinforced or at least somewhat stiff which is good. The button click is good, and the case in general fits well on my model iPhone. This case is a medium thickness level in my opinion. It’s not winning any awards for slimness, but it doesn’t feel overly bulky to me even though it’s got some good protection here. If you are looking for some solid protection for your iPhone 16 in terms of a screen protector, solid case, and camera door, this is definitely a case I would recommend to you. Until next time, stay charged up!
