Today we’re taking a look at the Poetic Spartan case for the Samsung Z Flip 6. Thanks to Poetic for sending the case over for this review. In terms of protection, the Spartan cases from Poetic are known for solid protection and this one definitely lives up to that standard. For the Z Flip 6, the case features a front side screen protector to protect the outer screen and we do have the bezel towards the top which creates some distance between the camera lenses and any flat surface the Flip 6 might impact when dropped which should help keep the camera lenses safe from cracking. The outer frame also provides the same bezel protection to the outer screen. The bottom panel is a little bit beefier since there’s no screen and its Polycarbonate here and not a screen protector. The material in this bottom section has textured areas to help improve grip and the panel as a whole has a good amount of strength. Both the top and bottom case panels were relatively snug, but Poetic did include these smaller adhesive strips under those blue tabs in order to help ensure the case remains on the Flip 6, we definitely don’t want the top or bottom panels flying off the phone when it gets dropped. The sides of the case seem decently thick and strong as well. I really like that the sides have this slotted pattern, this will help with dry and wet grip in my experience. The case has reinforced corners on both the top and bottom panels with extra TPU material which will make a huge difference in protecting the phone on corner drops. We of course have the reinforced hinge piece that will help provide protection for the Flip 6’s hinge during drop scenarios. It is lightly spring loaded so it will move back to the closed position. All of these protection factors added up make for a good case in my opinion, you want the case to take the brunt of the hit when you drop it, not the glass built into your phone. We also get a bezel to protect the inside screen which is great for those kitchen floor or concrete basements drop scenarios. The Spartan Z Flip 6 case does have a kickstand built in which is nice for watching videos or making video calls with the Flip 6 on its side. There is no USB-C protection flap on this case, just an FYI. I would like to see that in the future though. So overall, I think the Poetic Spartan case here is a solid choice for protecting your Z flip 6. If you like the overall protection of this case, you can pick it up in Metallic Gun Metal gray, Midnight Blue, Metallic Red which looks pretty good in my opinion, or Metallic Orange which I also like.
