Today we’re taking a look at the i-Blason Armorbox case for the Samsung Z Flip 6. Thanks to i-Blason for sending the case over for this review. In terms of protection, the Armoxbox cases from i-Blason are normally a little beefed up for protection and this one definitely lives up to that standard. For the Z Flip 6, the case features a front side screen protector to protect the outer screen and we do have the bezel towards the top which creates some distance between the camera lens and any flat surface the Flip 6 might impact which should help keep the camera lenses safe from cracking. The bottom panel is a little bit beefier since it obviously doesn’t have the outer screen. The material in this bottom section is made from polycarbonate and TPU so the feel is what you would probably expect with good strength. I like that the bottom panel has this indented part along the perimeter, I think this will help with fingertip grip. Both the top and bottom case panels were relatively snug by the way, this is what I like to see on a flip like this, we definitely don’t want the top or bottom panels flying off the phone when it gets dropped. The sides of the case seem decently thick and strong as well. I really like that the sides have this slotting pattern, this will help with dry and wet grip. The case has reinforced corners with extra material too which is handy for those heart wrenching corner drops. We of course have the reinforced hinge piece that will help provide protection for the Flip 6’s hinge during drop scenarios. Both the top and bottom panels create a small bezel on both screen sides of the phone which is good to see. You always want to have at least a millimeter or two of case bezel in order to take the brunt of the impact forces when you drop your phone. The case should take the hit, not the glass built into your phone. The bezel creates 1-2mm worth of distance between the phone glass and any flat source on the front side which is going to help flat surface type drop scenarios. Like I mentioned before, the outer screen has a good-sized bezel for outer screen and camera lenses. The case does have a kickstand built in which is nice for watching videos or making video calls. i-Blason indicated that the case should allow for wireless qi charging with most qi chargers. There is no USB-C protection flap on this case just an FYI. As for case accessories, this case comes with a belt holster clip which is kind of nice, I think you could use this while going for a walk or run or just to keep the phone handy. I think this is a nice value add feature. I think the Armoxbox case here is a solid choice for protecting your Z flip 6 so, if you like the overall protection and functional bits, you can pick it up in black, dark green, dark blue, Ruddy or red which is my favorite color by the way, or TiGray or just gray.
