Today we are taking a look at the Crave Dual Guard case for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra courtesy of Crave. Crave is a newer company to me, they had reached out to take a look at a few cases and after checking out the specs, I thought they were interesting options. The Crave dual Guard case is a dual layered case, there’s a harder external shell and a softer inner layer for holding and cushioning the S24 Ultra phone body. From the installation, we can see it’s relatively easy to install the case and we can see where the harder shell reinforces the strength of this case. We can see that the softer layer wraps around the phone on the backside with a little extra material on the bottom and top. The outer shell is going to provide some rigidity on the sides and top of the case. The entire backside of the shell interestingly enough is textured, even the sides that trap around the softer inner layer. This is going to provide excellent grip on this case, it was very easy to grab on to and hold even with a loosened grip which is nice. As for screen protection, this case implements raised bezels on the top and the bottom of the case which means that if you drop your S24 Ultra on a flat surface like your kitchen floor or concrete basement floor, the screen on the S24 Ultra won’t make impact with the ground, the bezels will since they extend the entire width of the phone body. This is a nice way to add this feature but keep the slim profile that many people are looking for. On the back side we have a standard large camera cutout region with a bezel to help lift those cameras and lenses up off of any flat surfaces your phone can be dropped on to. It looks like we have about 1-2mm here which is standard. This case does have a circular magnet built into it, it’s a little higher up on the back side which is why when I placed my magnet too low it didn’t stick. After it attached, I was able to really shake the phone around which is awesome. Testing with my wireless Qi charger went well, no issues and there’s enough space to comfortably plug in my normal sized USB-C cable. The speaker and mic cutouts were good, and the S-pen bay size was good as well, no issues with removal or reinserting. Overall, I would say this is a really nice S24 Ultra case from crave. If you want some solid S24 Ultra protection but that slimmer profile is important to you, this case will get the job done. On top of that, this is one of the grippiest cases that I have worked with yet for the S24 Ultra so that is a huge plus in my opinion. Until next time, stay charged up.
