Today we’re taking a look at the Crave case for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Crave has reached out about reviewing this case and after taking a look at it, I was happy to agree. This case features a solid TPU bumper all along the perimeter of the phone, a solid MagSafe magnetic ring stand, and a deeper built-up camera cutout region. The case itself has a nicer light feeling which I know a lot of people value, not everyone wants to turn their phone into a brick and there’s no risk of that with the Crave case here. The TPU bumper has a nice feeling of softer material. I like that it forms a bit of a bezel all around the perimeter of the front side of the phone. This is a crucial screen protection feature, when you drop your iPhone 15 Pro Max on the floor in the kitchen or on the hard cold cement in your basement, the bezel of the case will always end up making the initial contact with the floor and not any of the glass. This is ideal because the case can absorb and distribute some of the impact forces which should reduce the chances of damaging your screen. If you really wanted to level up your overall protection, you could always add on a plastic or tempered glass screen protector, it looks like most protectors should fit. As for the back side of this case, we have the MagSafe magnet and the camera cutout region. The magnet seemed relatively strong, and I liked that it actually doubled as a kickstand for the phone. I use this feature all the time in the kitchen and when I’m moving around in my office, my plex isn’t going to watch itself. As for the camera cutout region, we have a solid bezel here protecting the cameras and the lenses. There’s about 2mm worth of clearance here so that should serve you well in most common flat surface drop scenarios. The frosted type of backing material for this case is relatively strong and rigid so, I don’t think you’ll see much flex across the case when the phone is dropped which should let the case continue staying snug on the phone, you don’t want your case falling off your phone especially on those awkward drops. The mic and speaker cutouts were all good, no issues with the USB-C port opening either but just be aware there is no flap cover. I tested this on my wireless qi charger, no issues charging wirelessly. Overall, I would say this is a solid lightweight and slim profile type of case for an iPhone 15 Pro Max. You’re getting some decent protection here along with some useful features. Until next time, stay charged up.
