Today we’re taking a look at the clear Supcase UB Mag case for the iPhone 16 Pro. Thanks to Supcase for sending this one over for the video. This is obviously a clear case for those of you who liked the color of your iPhone. The case is made from a polycarbonate material and has a nice soft feeling. This is a slimmer case than the UB pro series of cases for those of us who want protection but don’t want to increase the profile of the iPhone 16 by too much. This case offers a front size bezel for screen protection in flat surface drop scenarios. This essentially means that the case is taller all around the perimeter of the screen side of the phone so when you drop the phone on a floor or the street, the case always makes that initial impact absorbing and redistributing some of those impact forces. The case fits very well on my model iPhone 16 pro here which is good to see as well. The sides, top, and bottom of this case have a good amount of material to help with preventing fall damage, eventually all of us are going to drop our phones at weird angles so definitely a plus. The corners of the case feature an air cushion design which should help with those harder corner impacts. Interestingly enough, Supcase says that this case eco-friendly materials from Germany, kind of neat. All of the iPhone 16 series smartphones feature the new camera control button. Supcase implemented a conductor pin passthrough type of strategy here which means the button will be protected by a layer of the case. In terms of drop testing for this case, Supcase has tested it up to 15 feet which seems quite good for a case that isn’t too big in my opinion. In looking at the back side of this case, we have a MagSafe magnet for accessories like those magnetic rings or pop sockets, but you can also use these in your car with Magsafe mounts. This case is also compatible with most wireless chargers which is good. We also have the camera protection; we have a classic camera cutout region here with a built-up bezel outlining it. This is important for protecting your cameras and their lenses, like the front side, when you drop the phone on a flat surface, they won’t make direct contact. This case is only coming in at 1.87 ounces which is great combined with the reasonable profile or size when installed on your iPhone 16 pro. If you wanted to level up the screen protection, it looks like you could probably grab an aftermarket screen protector. Overall, I like this case. If you want some good protection and a few nice to have features without making your phone bulky, this UB Mag case is a solid option. It’s coming in at a lower price point in the market for iPhone 16 pro cases as well, so I think the value you’re getting out of this case is quite good. Until next time, stay charged up.
