Today we’re taking a look at the SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Pro Mag case for the iPhone 15. SUPCase sent this over for review along with a few other cases so let’s take a look at what they have to offer here. The UB Pro Mag case is a dual layer interlocking case type that fully encloses the iPhone for maximum protection. I like this case design because when it’s done right, there’s virtually no chance the case will split apart when dropped even when your phone goes tumbling out of your hands. The UB Pro cases are known for their robust protective designs and the UB Pro Mag here is no exception. The case includes one front frame option which has a built-in screen protector. The thickness is good, this screen protector should keep the screen on your iPhone safe from anything that would normally come into contact with it. The front frame provides some rigidity which is good, and it forms a very tight interlocking connection with the main case body. When installed this case completely encloses your iPhone which is ideal in my opinion for maximal protection. In looking at the iPhone 15 installed in this case, we can see that the case is lifting the screen at least 2 or 3 millimeters up off of a flat surface. This bezel height actually looks like it is the tallest that I have seen so far which is great for added protection. If you drop your iPhone on say a tile floor in a kitchen or those hard flooring materials in most offices, the bezel all along the perimeter of the case will prevent the screen from directly impacting the ground. This is important because you want the case to take that force and absorb and redistribute that as opposed to your screen. The main case body has very solid protection as well, it’s a decent thickness and the TPU bumper on the side top and bottom seems relatively strong. There’s some flex but it’s still holding its shape under pressure. I like that there’s a decent amount of material on the corners as well, that will definitely come in handy in drop scenarios. As for camera protection, we have the standard built up camera cut out region. The case is 1 or 2 millimeters taller than the camera lenses. So, if you were to drop the phone on a relatively flat surface, this should prevent the camera lenses from impacting anything. In working with this case and the iPhone 15, I think we are really well covered in terms of protection here. This case does support MagSafe accessories, things like rings and car mounts as well as wireless charging too. The magnet was very strong in my testing, and I like that the whole magnetic ring actually doubles as a kickstand for the phone. I frequently set my phone down on a desk with its kickstand so I can watch a video while I move around the office. As for the mic and speaker cutouts, no issues there, we do get a flap for the charging and data port as well. I think that’s an awesome feature and it’s really helped keep all of my previous smartphone ports free of debris and gunk so they can keep working over the life of the phone. SUPCASEis also including a belt clip holder here, it’s strong and has a good grip on the phone installed in the case. Handy if you have an active type of job and need quick access to your phone. Overall, I would say that this is one of the top choices for maximum smartphone protection. The UB Pro cases are really bringing the competition to the market in my opinion. I feel great about the protection, I like the Magnet implementation, and the case feel is good – no issues in my opinion with normal handling of the phone. The only real downside to the case is that this level of protection does come with an increase in the phone’s overall profile and weight. If you are into lighter more freeing types of cases, there’s definitely options out there, sup case offers some too, but the UB Pro series cases are geared towards the protection side of things. So, with all of that being said, if you are looking for a competitive iPhone 15 case option with solid or possibly the most solid protection, I would definitely take a look at the SUPCASE UB Pro and UB Pro Mag cases for those MagSafe accessories.
