Today we’re taking a look at the SUPCASE UB Pro Mag case for the Samsung Z Fold 6 case, thanks to SUPCASE for sending this over for the video. The SUPCASE UB Pro Mag for the Z Fold 6 is very similar in many respects to the typical UB Pro cases, but we do have MagSafe accessory support, and the backside of the case is textured quite a bit differently. We still have a strong left side panel here; this is a front side frame with a tempered glass panel that SUPCASE is saying is 9H rated which will hold up well against the normal stuff that comes in contact with your phone. SUPCASE says the fingerprint reader should work well but you should increase the sensitivity for maximum unlock accuracy. There’s not too much flex here which is good, the front panel snaps on to the front side of the phone and its snug which is good, this seems like it will be able to hang on to the phone when you inevitably drop your Z Fold. There are raised bezels on the front side, which is awesome, the actual phone glass won’t touch a flat surface when the phone is dropped for example, the bezels extend about 2mm past the screen which lifts the phone up off of flat surfaces like your kitchen floor for the concrete floor in your basement, or even a tile floor. As for the back side of this case, we have a very strong rear case panel for the right side of the phone, very little flex and TONs of TPU material on the sides top and bottom with reinforced corners too. I like that the TPU sides do have these slight indents, which will help with overall grip since the width of the phone is slimmed down a little in that area. Like I mentioned earlier, the backside of this case is a bit textured which I like, it will help with overall grip, and I think it’s a nice design. This case does have support for storing the S-pen external to the phone body, which is nice, you can leave it in the middle section and grab it quickly when you need it. This also acts as a very strong barrier for protecting the Z Fold 6’s hinge which is nice. The mag version of this case has a circular magnetic ring which actually doubles as a kickstand, that’s kind of a neat way to add value to the case. The magnet was decently strong, didn’t seem over the top but accessories shouldn’t easily fall off of the case. SUPCASE says that the UB Pro Mad is compatible with most wireless QI chargers. The case also provides a decent amount of protection for the cameras, they’re recessed quite a bit here and the camera cut out region is already much smaller on the Z Fold than the S24 Ultra for example. From handling this case for a bit, it seems like it should provide some solid protection for your Z Fold 6. I would definitely recommend this if protection is the factor you are most interested in for your Z fold6 case and you need MagSafe compatibility. Until next time, stay charged up.
