Today were taking a look at the Tocol case the the iPhone 17 Pro Max. This case is a single piece or main rear case design that fits around the iPhone 17 Pro Max. It’s made from polycarbonate and TPU materials. The main backing piece is stiff, it gives the case some good overall rigidity and the TPU bumper material that surrounds the perimeter of the case has that nice bouncy rubber like quality to it that we want to see in our smartphone cases. I don’t have my iPhone 17 Pro Max yet but from what I can see and looking at the measurements, I think this case will snap on to the phone body and be relatively snug which is good. It looks like the bumpers will extend up past the height of the glass on the Pro Max which is excellent for flat surface drop scenarios, you want the case taking the brunt of that impact when you drop your iPhone on a hard flat surface like concrete or asphalt. That’s a battle the glass is just not going to win, let the case do the work there. I like that this case has cutout for the cameras and flashlight specifically instead of just leaving the whole camera area cutout, I know people really appreciate that. This case is obviously translucent but it does block a decent amount of light though. There’s 0 texturing on this case but backing and the sides seem to be somewhat non slip, even without texturing I think dry and lightly wet grip will be decent. We do have magsafe accessory support here as well which is awesome, bust out those mag rings and car mounts, I use these every day on my main phone. When it comes to charging, this case is thin enough to allow for wireless charging vertically and horizontally and the USB-C cutout is a decent size. There is no case button mechanism for the action button, the case just opens up to expose the action button, some people really prefer that to the other button styles. If you like the design of this case, you can pick it up in a bunch of different colors which is definitely a plus. Overall, I’d say this is a really solid budget case option for the iPhone 17 Pro Max and I think it will be supper popular.
