Today we’re taking a look at the Rokform Rugged case for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Rokform wasn’t able to send this case over to me so I bought it since so many people wanted to see video content on it for the S25 launch. The Rokform Rugged cases have a reputation for being big burly cases touting tons of smartphone protection. The Rugged case for the S25 Ultra lives up to that reputation, this case is massive. The side walls, top, bottom, and backing material are quite substantial in terms of thickness and rigidity. This case definitely has that overbuilt feeling and you’ll be able to tell as soon as it’s in your hands. Rokform cases are new to me, this is the first one I’m taking a look at. There’s a theme to the cases here, having extreme phone protection while also giving you utility in terms of this plug section in the middle of the back of the case. This is a neat little feature that lets you lock your S25 Ultra in place through this case attached to one of the Rokform mounts. Rok form sells accessories for cars, motorcycles, trucks, golf carts, the selection of mounting methods is really kind of neat. The standard magnetic ring built into the case is relatively strong compared to some of the other cases I have looked at so far. The lower portion of the case towards the bottom is also a magnet which should help with really securing the phone to your Rokform mount or anything that’s magnetic. I haven’t seen anything like this before, it’s really unique and if you have any of these use-cases, I suspect this case will be at the top of your list. Getting back to the protection though, the meat of this case, the TPU bumper and the multi layer backing is really going to provide some strong protection for your Galaxy S25 Ultra. The insides of the bumper are TPU and the part of the backing material where the S25 Ultra rests is covered in felt so, you can rest easy knowing the outside of the case is armored up and the inside of the case is like a soft hug so, there shouldn’t be any scratching of the surfaces that the case is protecting. The corners are very well reinforced, they barely flex when I press on them. Since they are TPU material, this is ideal in my opinion. While this case does not come with a screen protector, we are getting some screen protection here in the form of a tall bezel on the front side of the case. The bezel is formed by the height of the bumper all around the perimeter of the phone. The case extends up past the height of the screen by about 1-2 mm and it’s about 1-2mm wide there as well. This comes into play when you drop your phone on flat but really hard ground surfaces, think a tile floor in a kitchen, a concrete sidewalk, or an asphalt street. You really don’t want the glass of your S25 Ultra coming into contact with those flat but really hard surfaces and it won’t no matter the angle thanks to the bezel. The bezel will make that initial impact then absorb and redistribute those impact forces will greatly reduces the risk of the glass shattering. I always look for this feature in cases that I use on my smartphones. In terms of protection and quality of life, this case features a grippy section running along the sides of the phone in order to help you hold on to the phone more easily. The backing material also has this weave texture all over the back surface. I like attention to grip and textured surfaces, the better grip you have on your phone the easier it is to not only use but the less likely you are to drop it in the first place. In looking at the buttons, they’re decently large and easy to press, which is good for a case of this style. The USB-C port has a very good sized cutout but there is no USB-C flap cover, just something to be aware of. The S-Pen bay is a good size, no issues with removing the S-Pen and reinserting it. As for the camera protection strategy, the cameras are well protected here with the dual cutout regions for each row of cameras. The case forms a bezel or higher surface here around the cameras and lenses similarly to how the case protects the screen side of the phone. If you drop your phone on any of those hard surfaces, the camera and lenses are set back about 1-2mm here so they won’t make contact with the ground. I like that Rokform improved the industry standard larger camera cutout region to be a little smaller and fill in some of the gaps between the ros of lenses. There’s more material covering more surface area here which will help cut down on trapped dust and it will protect those surface areas a little bit better. Looking at the charging, it’s a little different with this case it seems. Rokform says this case should allow for wireless QI charging on most QI chargers so long as you have the non magnetic plug installed or no plug installed. I was able to easily get this working on my standard layflat charger with the non magnetic plug which was installed by the factory. The magnetic plug in the accessory side of the box is not supposed to be used with QI chargers. Overall, I would have to say if you want to play as a warrior tank, this is definitely the case for you. It’s beefier than most other cases, quite strong and rigid, and it supports magsafe accessories. This case does however cost more than pretty much every other case that I have looked at for the S25 Ultra though. This case regularly sells for about $70 on Amazon which is quite a bit higher than the likes of Supcase Poetic, or Tongate for example. The Rokform case is at least as tough as those cases but it does open you up to the world of Rokform magnetic mounting and accessories. IF you ride a bike motorized or not, or just need some kind of reliable mounting system, it looks like the Rokform platform is going to be your best bet. It costs a little more but I don’t think any other brands really sell anything quite like this. If you got anything out of this video, I’d appreciate it if you could smash that like button as that tells youtube to share this video with S25 Ultra owners looking for really strong cases.
